Description
The top man laborer supports pipe laying operations by working at ground level (above the trench), ensuring materials, tools, and safety protocols are managed efficiently. This role is vital in maintaining communication between operators, pipe layers, and supervisors to ensure smooth, safe and productive operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist operators and work with others as a team on construction crew.
- Setup and use laser levels and pipe lasers.
- Shuttle equipment for repairs.
- Steam clean machinery and keep pads clean.
- Maintain insurable driving record.
- Ensure materials, tools, and safety protocols are managed efficiently.
- Maintain communication between operators, pipe layers and supervisor.
- Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
- Other Duties as assigned.

Education and Certificates
- High School Graduate or GED.
Physical Requirements
- Physical Work Requirements – Heavy: exerting up to 50 pounds of force regularly.
- Repetitive motion associated with operating a forklift and other equipment.
- Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.
- Outdoor working conditions, sometimes in extreme climates.
