Wage: $ 30-$37
Position Summary: Pipe Foreman will plan, address, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with construction sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of underground utility construction. Responsible for the installation of underground utility pipelines (large diameter) for storm or sanitation sewers, drains.
Responsibilities:
- Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems
- Give direction to multiple crews and their job-site activities
- Develop your team's skillset and knowledge of heavy civil construction.
- Prepare and submit daily field logs, trench inspections, progress reports, code receipts and invoices and document change of conditions that impact contract cost and schedule
- Implement new or modified plans in response to delays, bad weather, or construction site emergencies
Skills Required:
- Must have underground wet utility installation experience
- Requisition supplies or materials to complete construction projects
- Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with environmental regulations
- Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out
- Adheres to all safety rules, guidelines, and codes.
- Maintains records of time worked and materials used.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Foreman: 5 years (Preferred)
- 10-30 hour OSHA training (preferred)
- Underground Utility Construction: 5 years (Preferred)
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand to operate and repair heavy equipment.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
