Overview

POSITION:  Civil Drafter / 3D Modeler

W. W. Clyde is looking for an experienced CAD Drafter / 3d Modeler with experience in construction.

 

LOCATION: Orem, UT 

 

SUMMARY: Civil Drafter / Modeler performs CADD work, creating and maintaining 3D design models and asbuilt models, creation of professional asbuilt figures and documents, QA/QC of 3D digital data for both estimating and construction.

 

DUTIES:                   

  • Generate and maintain high-quality BIM content for projects.
  • Enhance / Create 3D models for use in civil construction applications and model coordination.
  • Compile and process field survey data (including UAS and LIDAR data) for creation of plan asbuilts, submittals figures and calculations for quantities for payment, and QA/QC compliance requirements.
  • Perform quality control on computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) data for surveying.
  • Perform data preparation for automatic machine control (AMG).
  • Assist in compilation of quantity takeoffs, and 3D models for use in estimation and bidding.
  • Perform / create renderings / simple animations for use on projects and for estimating.                                    

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Civil Drafting / CAD, or 5 years of experience in Civil Drafting, or a combination of both.
  • Proficient in: Autodesk, Revit and or Civil 3D. Sketchup is a plus.
  • Advantageous: General civil construction knowledge, plan and detail production experience.
