POSITION:       Survey Technician

 

LOCATION:     Travel required to job sites throughout Arizona and potentially to surrounding states.

DUTIES:                    

  • Support construction projects with survey layout, staking, and automated machine guidance.
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents to produce and work with calculations in the field, read construction plans, and process survey data.
  • Perform data preparation for automated machine guidance including building 3D surface grading models.
  • Perform quality control on computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) data for surveying and AMG.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.                                 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Geomatics degree with 5 to 8 years of experience or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
  • Experience with CADD and knowledge of control setup - GPS and conventional.
  • Experience with Trimble surveying equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings & specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline.
  • General civil construction knowledge.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Skills.
  • Maintain insurable driving record.
